CP not starting with P3D - auto start ?

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

RE: Win10 latest - P3Dv4 latest - CP latest

I have the option selected to start and stop CP with P3D - however - it doesn't work... Hasn't worked in a while but it did work at one time...

I have to start and stop manually...

Anyone else have this issue ?

Thanks...

Regards,
Scott

CP latest, that means 0.3.70 or 0.4.xx?

Hi Keven,

There was an update since I posted - now I'm running 4.73 - also tried the "Stable Release" - no joy - still need to start CP manually...

Scott

All seems good in there. Try updating to the latest version, we changed a few things related to the launch sequence.

Hi Keven,

4.75 - no joy...

I normally run all my P3D stuff as "Administrator" and I add that condition to all my shortcuts - perhaps a permission issue ?

Scott

It shouldn't be... Are you sure it's not running in the Task Manager but invisible?

Is there anything in the Windows Event viewer that would relate to the issue?

Hi Keven,

Yeah - I kill it with a right click and a close - I checked the task manger - no chase plane - I'll go through the event logs as well... I also have "Minimize to Taskbar" selected - it doesn't do that either when I manually launch it - not sure if related...

Scott

The "Minimize to Taskbar" option only applies when you minimize the app, it does not mean it's going to be initialized minimized when launched manually.

Hi !

I'm new with Chase Plane. Just to mention that I don't think CP behaves correctly when you check the Preferences/General/Auto-Launch with P3D v4 option. In addition of starting CP when P3D v4 is launched, it first starts P3D v4 when Windows 10 is starting. This is not useful. Maybe this is a bug or maybe there is another option wrongly set and I can't find it. Does anybody notice that ?. Actually is there something I can do to correct that or wait for a CP update ?

OS = Win10.........sim = P3D v4.2.........CP = v0.3.70 Beta

Thank you !

ChasePlane does not start P3D when you start Windows. It’s just not possible for it to do that.

Sorry for the false alert. I made a correction to the FireWall (to let ChasePlane access certain files when it starts) and now the ChasePlane option works perfectly.

Can not tell what was the impact between Windows and P3D before the FireWall modification.

I don't do drugs.

I really like this product.

I use EZDOK for a long period of time and this new product is more friendly user and great options for each defined camera.

Thank you for your fast reply.
