P3Dv4 I think some of my cockpit lights are missing

Recommended Posts

I thought this issue was known and is going to be fixed with v4.2 as Chris said?

Interesting, I have over 80 addons added with the xml method with no problem.  There is a problem when you have a large number of separate add-on.xml files that I've seen mentioned in other forums but there is no limit to how many addon components you can add to a single add-on.xml file.

I don't think has anything to do with the PTA problem discussed in this thread.

That's what i forgot to write. Too many separate addon xmls files may cause texture issues. Thank you ;)

Ryan the missing lighting is the known issue. The other issue posted can be due to the same bug but we have seen it happen also when shader alteration programs are used .

Thanks for clarifying. I only encountered the other issue once though while the lights go missing on about every night flight.

Hey there,

I just started noticing this yesterday while doing a night flight, but main panel brightness switch does not turn on everything it should turn on anymore. For example my flaps indicator or the autobrake switch is left completely dark. Is there a setting in the sim which could cause this?

Regards

I have this issue to, found out that going to settings>graphics and switching VC Mipmap off and on, restores the indicator lighting

Thanks for posting this. Does it bring back only the flaps indicator or all the missing lights?

Hi Chris,

I'm having the same issue on a new install of P3DV4 and the 738. I get the lower panel thing an hour or two into a flight. No add ons except ASP and some scenery, but not much.

Scott,

This is fixed on v4.2. When it will be released it's up to LM. For now you can try some of the recommendations like "going to settings>graphics and switching VC Mipmap off and on" or disabling sceneries if you have a lot of them in addon.xml
