I tried the latest RC, but unfortunately...

.) ground physics, in the default C172, C90, B738 still not plausible to me;

.) we have that new anti-torque bug - I just hope it will not stay unsolved for as long as the old torque bug introduced when Austin decided to model prop torque effects along XP9...

.) I really can't say if aircraft behaviour under variable winds is due to the way XP calculates the weathervane effects on each aircraft model, or the way the wind vector is made variable in the weather engine - this can be overtaken by a good 3pd weather engine. Actually even the good-old NOAA plugin somehow takes care of the default wind vector calculation hysteresis ...

Other than that, it's a very beautiful and promissing alternative simulator...

Main Simulation Rig:

Avid simmer since 1992...

I do appreciate all the hard work the Laminar team does in upgrading the sim, but a release note like this...

XPD-8519 Improvements to helicopter flight model.

... doesn't really tell us anything useful. It would sure be nice to know WHAT they improved in the flight model!

Ant-torque bug, do you mean the roll to the right bug that was fixed ?

That one strider, but as far as I can tell, it isn't fixed at all, at least on my tests with the default C172, Baron 58 and the C90...

All of the three still right roll at cruise or higher power settings :-(

I also didn't see any mention of it in the release notes.

In beta 7 something like this was mentioned as fixed bug: "XPD-8408 All prop aircraft with CW rotating props roll right inflight." Is this a different one? If so, is your observation reported already?
