X-Plane 11.10RC1, giving default scenery another chance

Recommended Posts

As the title says, with the announcement of AlpilotX HD mesh v4 for X-plane 11, I decided to give the default another chance.

As many others I have been creating Orthos, but without overlays it is too flat, and with overlays you miss on the ground detail, sometimes it even clashes (seeing forests where the underlaying ortho shows fields, houses in the middle of forests etc).

In these shots, I do use replacement clouds and sky colours from the org, I like the whispy look.

Here it is, climbing out of Annecy, then overflying Geneva and lac Leman, I hope you enjoy and that you get inspired to also take a flight in this beautiful part of the Alps.

Annecy (pronounced "Ansee") is a beautiful small city and beautiful part of the French Alps.  I still believe XPlane's default autogen is the best, along with its default scenery and landclass.
