Hi Folks,

Hmm - looking at your specs - this doesn’t bode well for me - i2700K@4.7Ghz and a GTX970 - I can run the Q400 fairly well...

Regards,

Scott

Bummer, I have a conservative system too... I think I'll wait. If anyone figures out that their modest system can handle it well, I may jump in also.

I'm really on the fence.  I have a 6600k at 4.4 and a gtx 1060.  I can run PMDG planes pretty well on my system but haven't tested any other planes since those are all I have for V4.  I don't want to spend $35 just to find out performance is worse but I do want the plane.  Hmm.

In fairness to AS, I've been poking at it and my issue is something more complicated than a simple performance problem. Pure FPS is decent enough (perhaps a bit ranging between max and min than I'd like), but I'm getting excessive stuttering and micro-pauses, exacerbated by Track IR. Panning around is gawd-awful. Changing my P3D affinity mask helped, so there's something else running that's messing with me... RAAS dll maybe? (I installed the locked version with the CJR). I partly blame Windows 10 also.

It performs well on my low end machine 3770 and gtx 760. If you can run pmdg ok, you’ll be fine I think

Well I bit.  Considering I paid $90 for the NGX if I use this even 1/3 of the time I do the NGX it'll be an ok buy for me.

Quick update for those I might have dissuaded, Not sure why this helped or what's behind it, but with a particular Affinity Mask, and frames set to unlimited, (neither have been 'normally' required), I am getting good FPS (just a touch below the NGX) and the micro-stutters are minimal. Very flyable now.

Got it installed and ran through the checklists a few times. I get better performance from this plane than the NGX. i5 7600k at 4.6, 16GB of RAM and an AMD 480 4GB.
