GTN650/750 Settings Freeze

Recommended Posts

I bought the GTN 750 yesterday and I'm having some trouble when clicking on "settings" on the plugins > Reality XP GTN >  GTN 1. X-Plane 11 freezes and I need to close the process and restart.

Yesterday was ok, but today I can't. Already reinstalled, rebooted my pc and nothing.

(Sorry for my english, btw).

Ok! I've installed on the xp10 too to test and on it (xp10) I can open the "settings" without any problem. Already tried with antivirus off and didn't work (on xp11).

rxpGTN.xpl.log:

17/12/03 06:11:18.455 01956 INFO ]

rxpGtnSim.dll.log:

17/12/03 06:16:47.652 11856 INFO ] GTN 750.1 host application exited unexpectedly.

Don't know if is necessary, but my specs:

I7 6700k 4.0ghz; GTX 1070 8gb; 32 gb ddr4; windows 10 pro.

XP11.10r2 (also tested on xp10.51).

As I said before, yesterday it worked fine, I acessed the settings nicely, but today, whenever I click on "settings", xp11 freezes and I need to close the process.

I've installed another copy of XP11 (11.05r2), on it it's ok. But the "weird" is that yesterday I was able to access the settings on the 11.10r2 and today I can't.

Edit: some tests later...the same issue on the new xp11 copy too.

Hi, could this be you're saturating your video card memory? Can you please cross check, prior opening the settings panel, what is the video card memory consumption reported in the XP11 GFX settings, vs the total memory of your card?

What about lowering a notch the texture resolution for example, just to make room, relaunch XP11, and try opening the settings panel again?

Also, is this happening with any aircraft, or one in particular? If the latter, can you post the content of the RealityXP.GTN.ini file?

Ok. It's happening in any aircraft. Tried with the default C172, Baron 58, Airfoillabs 172, JustFlight P28R...and got the same issue.

The xp11 graphical settings is reporting 4160 mb of usage, while my gpu have 8 gb of vram.

Also tried to reduce the texture resolution, restarted xp11 (now with 2513 mb of consumption) and it keeps freezin when I click on "settings" of the GTN plugin.

Here is the content of the RealityXP.GTN.ini file (I hope is it what you asked for, hehe) :

;//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
;// Reality XP Keyboard Shortcuts Configuration File - v1.0
;//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
;//
....

Another issue that I realized is the OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) is freezing the XP11, but only when I have rxp plugin inside the plugins folder on plane 11. It seems a conflict, but just when realityxp plugin is activated on XP11.

Anyway, thanks for the attention!

Hi, this is not the file I've been asking for, row now.

Please look in the aircraft folder you've configured a GTN with instead. The RealityXP.GTN.ini I'd like to see is the with the per-aircraft settings, thus in the aircraft folder (and please use the 'spoiler' button to wrap the content in a collapsible header when posting - the 'eye' icon next to the 'font' drop down list)

As for OBS, it must be something they are trying to do with the video card so as to 'grab' the screen which makes a conflict. Have you tried another similar software just for comparision?

Last but not least, there has been 4 pages on this forum for a problem with the GTN, which finally concluded the culprit was a faulty video card device driver. You might want to also cross check this.

I updated my drivers yesterday, it's all up to date.

I've downloaded others broadcasters and with them, no issues, only when opening OBS.

This is the RealityXP.GTN.ini file inside the Justflight P28R.

Hope now it's the correct one.
