April 17, 200620 yr Hi all,I have the RealAir SF-260 and love the smooth gauge movement in the VC. Now I am considering the Scout, Decathlon, and Citabria package. What do those of you that have this package think of it. Are you seeing much of a hit on Framerate in the VC. I have a lower end system and still find the SF-260 runs quite nice in the VC, framerate wise. Is this package about the same on framerates.Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated.
April 17, 200620 yr Hi Mike,I picked up the Scout, Decathlon, and Citabria package a few months ago and am delighted with it. I have the original RealAir Decathlon, and Citrabria for FlyII and love that too! I found them to perform very similar to the SF-260 as far as computer load. What I really appreciate is RealAir's configuration tool allowing you to change some of the instruments around in the panels which as you already know aren't like regular FS panels. Nice touch... oh, and it includes some really nice scenery additions by Bill Womack that really allow you to use that short field capability to its fullest.Hope I helped make up your mind ;),Zane Dr Zane Gard Sr Staff Reviewer AVSIM Private Pilot ASEL since 1986 IFR 2010 AOPA 00915027 American Mensa 100314888
April 17, 200620 yr They are excellent and in fact I get better performance (framerate-wise. Obviously, the gauges are much smoother in the VC too) with the new VC than I did with the old version of the Deke for FS9. All of the RA planes run very well for me (low end system here too - P4-1.8ghz, 768 ram, 128meg GF4Ti4200)
April 17, 200620 yr I am a real fan of the Scout, Decathlon, and Citabria package. In fact, next to the 260, I think they are my favorite planes to fly. Anything REALAIR makes is absolutely top notch.
April 19, 200620 yr Any idea if RealAir plans on releasing these 3 models individually? I am almost ready to buy, but just finding the $40 Canadian a little hard to come up with right around Tax Time.
April 20, 200620 yr I'd say the possibility of them releasing the planes seperately is almost non-existant.
