Strange brightness change going full screen

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I usually start my sim in windowed mode so i can use other software to plan my flight. Once i've done all this and i'm ready to fly i then go into full screen mode to take advantage of that extra bit of screen.

However i have noticed that when i go full screen, My virtual cockpit seems to appear darker. Is there a known reason for this? And a possible way for me to avoid that changing?

I also have this issue. Not only the VC becomes darker for me but all the screen. This happens since the last W10 update and I am also an Envshade customer. So I don't know the culprit yet.

If you have an OLED screen that could be the culprit.  They can only show so much light.

It seems to be due to the latest Nvidia drivers. When coming back to 376.33, no problem.

I don't know how to fix that

What happens if you use a WIN 10 virtual desktop to run your planning programs?

I run my browser and FSXWX on desktop 1 and P3D, full screen, on desktop 2.

Since my PC is far from to be a Formula 1 (i5 2500K + GTX 780 ti), I use only one desktop and AS16 on a remote PC.
