Samoa – South Seas Sojourn

Recommended Posts

Samoa – South Seas Sojourn

We fly to all of the airports in Western Samoa and American Samoa.  Starting from Asau (NSAU) in the west we will land at six airports finishing at Fitiuata (FAQ) on the eastern most island of Ta’u.

Flightplan & Pilots Guide:

Available here.

Aircraft:

The route is 212 miles, so we should take a plane that cruises with about 140 KIAS.   The most common aircraft used in Samoa are the de Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter, the Dornier DO228, and the Brittan Norman BN-2 Islander.  These are all good choices but as always you are free to fly what you like.

Recommended scenery:

Orbx NSTU Pago Pago International Airport (includes all of the islands and seven airports)

Particulars:

Date and time: Saturday December 16, 2017, 19:00 UTC

Where: AVSIM RTWR Teamspeak - Casual Flights Channel

Teamspeak Server Address: ts.teamavsim.com

Cross-Platform Multiplayer: JoinFS. (FSX, FSX-SE, and P3D)

If you want to help others enjoy the multiplayer experience, don't forget to enter your aircraft details on the multiplayer spreadsheet (linked here). Your courtesy will save others a lot of time and effort. Thanks!

Recommend that you set your initial clock to 16:30 hours in local time to account for flight time and the usual "faffing about" time.

She can come along but she'll have to wear a grass skirt. (I don't want to be the only one)

Thanks for the Pilots Guide. The descriptions and stories make the place come alive.
(And I guess that we are all eager to hear about Nick's climb up Mount Piumafau.)

Ditto!!!

Ron,

Are you using the latest and greatest from Peter? I've got 1.3.6 Test installed & 1.4.3 Test installer on the desktop waiting to pull the trigger.
Samantha is very modest , she says in her younger years she may have worn a grass skirt so you're stuck with her winter jacket..

Another fine job from the resident photographer! I hope you can be around next Saturday when we'll make a pig's ear of formation flying.

I followed your links Roman. That's an hour and a half gone! Just like that.
