Recommended Posts

None are great, Carenado's Phenoms are probably the best of the bunch but it is a looooonnnnggg way from study-sim level:
Phenom 100 (you'd probably want a third party GPS in this) https://www.avsim.com/home/reviews/aircraft/review-embraer-phenom-100-by-carenado-r2369/
Phenom 300 (with Navigraph upgrade) https://www.avsim.com/home/reviews/aircraft/review-embraer-phenom-300-by-carenado-for-fsxp3dv2-r3413/

Flight1's Citation Mustang is arguably better than anything Carenado puts out https://www.avsim.com/pages/1109/Flight1/Mustang.htm but it is not v4 compatible yet

Last week I bought the GLJ Model 25, its old school but I added Flight1 GTN 750 and Since I fly FSL 90% of my time it takes a lot for me to be pulled away, but so far I can say I cannot stop flying this gem of an aircraft that I think is brilliant. 4096 texture VC and model.

I highly recommend it. IMO it can happery sit next to my beloved FSL A320/PMDG NG

I few screenshots I took on a cold flight to EDDF the other night.

True, but hey it's worth a shout out

Anyway it's light and it's a jet  and it's really fast.

Thank you. Yes, I do have the Phenom 100 for Xplane 11 and although the developers have done a great job, I was disappointed about the lack of SID/STAR capabilities. Does the Prepar3dv4 version include these capabilities?

@ssair1 The 100 doesn't. The 300 has a Navigraph expansion/addon that adds some SID/STAR capability. But I think a lot of people choose to retrofit RXP or F1 GTN750 GPS units instead.

Don't waste your money with the Navigraph extensions.  Just get the 300, Mr. Pieke's mod, and the F1 GTN750.  This combo right here turns it into a marvelous jet.

Edit to add:  Hurry, the 300 is on sale until the 17th.

I’ve been thinking about getting this based on a couple of posts recently(maybe by you). I was also thinking of the FlySimWare Lear. Have you tried that one? If so, which is better?

Hi Kevin,

The Flysimware Lear 35A is my favorite bizjet of all time - hands down (haven't tried the popular 25)... I just can't get enough of it... Far superior than anything Carenado I've used... The developer has offered fixes, improvements, and P3D upgrades for years - free of charge... Your mileage may vary...

You need to read the manual though - as it has a ton of custom bindings mostly mapped to the default G1000 since it doesn't have one (this buys you button control over the custom autopilot and other proprietary functions) - every flight is thoroughly rewarding - just keep in mind it is a Lear and things happen fast - real fast - you can hit 6000 FPM climbs after takeoff... The best setup is if you own the F1 GTN750 and the REX Weather Radar - as the model supports these fully in 3D...

Regards,
Scott
