Local shaders cache will be rebuilt by PD3 when you restart the sim.

Be aware all those add-on's you mentioned edit your shaders and can be the cause of your problem.

The shaders are located here C:\Users\<YOU>\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Shaders.

You can also turn down your LOD radius a notch or two.

I think thats how the atmospheric scattering is done in the sim.....I noticed this the first time I ever used PTS in P3d v3. take it for what its worth.

 

Or how the haze setting works...
