On the contrary: you can control the Reality XP GNS V2 and GTN via keyboard shortcuts and via Simulator GPS Commands!

Nonetheless, the GPS400 has no 'CDI' button therefore, it won't respond to this commands either.

Thanks for the info. I think L:VARS is required for what I'm trying to accomplish in P3DV4 for the GPS 400. This is all new to me so it's still a work in progress. I will be out of town for about one week and will then work on it more.
