Req: C90B Carenado Mod

Recommended Posts

I have the xp10 version of it.  Does it fly ok in XP11?  If it does I will try a mod - should be doable for a 530 or 430.  Doing the GTN would be harder though (saw your request in the other thread).  @Bourrinopathe might be able to do it - he did mods for aerobask in 3D bezels

Thanks for the answer.

Actually I did using the GNS430 over the default one. Now I want to using the GNS530 over the useless Avidyne.

Whoops, sorry for the confusion, I just figured it was about including the GNS in the C90B, not the GTN :laugh:
The Avidyne display probably uses the panel.png texture so you should be able to use the appropriate coordinates to display the GNS 530 over it. The steps are similar to what you've done for the GNS 430.

No problem at all.

In fact, I messed up a little. 'Cause I've requested the GTN retrofit and now the GNS.

I'll try to put the GNS over the Avidyne. But you know if the bezel and buttons fit?

Regards,

You can choose to display the GNS bezel on the Avidyne screen.
It will look a little weird but you'll be able to use all the buttons with the mouse cursor.

Just set the "nobezel" value to "false" in the .ini file:

[GNS_530_1.PANELS]
; display window if true.
visible = true
; show screen only gauge if true.
nobezel = false

If you have an HOTAS or a button box, I'd suggest binding some controls/buttons to manipulate the GNS. You would benefit from a larger GNS screen surface.
