Here are the first shots of our Netherlands Photoreal project up and running in Aerofly FS 2. We have a lot of work yet to do but I wanted to share these with you to show we are actively developing a photoreal region for four sim platforms in parallel - FSX/P3D/XP11/AFS2.

Happy New Year everyone

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

It's said to be a >30GB download, that is a good sign. The ground photo resolution probably is close to zoom level 17. But the ground texture in some screenshots still look of very low resolution.

I suspect Orbx is probably sensitive about download sizes. Even their much smaller landclass sceneries get complaints about download speeds, and I can't even imagine what a bunch of 100+GB sceneries would do to their servers.....

Given those are photoscenery kind, I think they probably need to figure out a way to deliver bigger add-ons. They could make two versions, a smaller low-resolution version for direct download, while a large high-resolution version for torrent download.

Or maybe a slightly higher price for higher resolutions.... to cover the bandwidth costs......

That may do it. Some word not allowed customers will complain that how come they have to pay more for longer download... LOL..
