Speedbrakes deployment sound plays multiple times

After some further testing it seems I might have found something.

It appears that you need to make sure to move the lever (on the Saitek TQ) past the arm stop with some margin. Before this I used to move it very carefully back and as soon as I noticed the arm light came on I left the lever in that position. What I'm thinking now and after some more testing is that if you move the lever a bit further after you see the arm light come on it works better/more often.

Maybe the problem was that when I before stopped moving the lever exactly when the arm light came on, the result was the lever was kind of "balancing" on the edge of being armed/not armed and hence the issue.

Not 100% sure yet if this indeed is the solution but figured I would post what I've found so far for anyone else with the same issue. If I recall correctly there was at least someone else who had seen the same issue.
