Weather radar only displaying the RH half

Recommended Posts

I have ActiveSky (latest) working fine with my NGX in P3Dv4.1.

However - the weather radar only ever displays information in the right hand side of the gauge. Tilt, gain etc. all work OK - and I can see the sweep moving over the left hand side, but nothing ever shows there.

Any ideas, anyone?

Adam.

Whats guage  are talking  about  here  the  nd  display? Masybe  you only  had  rain  on   the  right  side  and  nothing  on the left  hand  side  of  your  aircraft?   a  screen shot  would  be  helpful

Yes - sorry for being imprecise - the ND gauge. The ActiveSky map showed cloud cover all over (left to right) across the nose. Even pointing/slewing the aircraft towards the right - directly into the centre of the cloud belt still didn't display anything.

I'll see if I can repeat the flight with similar conditions and take a screenshot. Kicking myself for not having done so at the time.

ok  seems  strange   that it  didnt   cover  both  halves,  hopefully it  was  just a glitch

It was indeed a glitch! Phew!!!! I retried it and all was OK (screenshots following shortly!).

Thanks for jumping in though, Pete - much appreciated!!

On the correct route:

As can be seen, all is working perfectly! :-)

Keep in mind that weather rader on the NGX only returns precipitation, no cloud coverage!
