Weird Alt change behavior

Recommended Posts

It started happening today out of the blue. Pretty much autopilot is drunk.

During cruise I change alt lets say from 390 to 320. The plane waits when it is near T/D and then drastically drops altitude to reach desired level.
Same thing going on with climb to the point of low speed alert. Then it overshoots HOLD alt and needs to recover and etc.

I attached few images. Take a look at the contrail on the second pic. I installed this thin one to nicely show the issue. That's a descent from 390 to 320.
I removed everything (APP DATA folders and etc), reinstalled but no luck. Same behavior.

Anybody know what's up?
*I have ORBX Global/Vector, WOAI, AS16, FSUIPC (latest free version) and some REX textures. AS16 settings all values under 35 (no difference if running stock weather).
I'm using SIMBRIEF for all my flight plans.

On penultimate picture I'm on descent. Look at the descent rate and speed. Engines are pretty much off but question is why. And that's with AS16 disabled.
Then at level plane looks like nose is way to high (last image). Almost like CG is completely messed up.

On top of that the plane is literally bouncing on the ground when moving. nothing happens when it is stopped.

Based on this phrasing, earlier, it was working. Today, it stopped working. Our code didn't change, so what changed on your computer?

My bet would be a weather program that you installed/updated/changed.

This might also offer some evidence...

Have you changed your default aircraft? Is the default aircraft in your simulator one of the default aircraft, or is it the 777 (or one of our other aircraft)?

Red trike is my default as always.
I didn't do nothing new. I have graphic settings same for over a year now and AS16 is installed for few weeks. Unless it updates something in the background I didn't do anything.
When I start simulator on default weather, behavior is the same.
My NGX still flies normal and so is my QW787.

Could be the case.

Have you tried unplugging your hardware prior to T/D?

I will give this a shot when I'm home.
But this morning I also experienced very erratic behavior during CRZ. Plane was shaking. It did look like it is weather that is effecting it but like on crack. Kinda like you go time x8 during regular flight.
It also had to adjust course when following flight plan. It was banking too hard or for too long and had to correct after.
Problem is with default weather it was the same.

You have EZDok or some other camera add on?

Yes I do, but crucial settings are in the 0.00x ranges for most part. All others 0.0X
And I re-registered it just in case once I reinstalled the 777.

Turn camera shake off.

Will report. Cheers. I will try anything at this point :)
Just to make sure I worded it correctly it is the plane that is shaking, not the view.

Correct.

EZDok doesn't shake the view. It batters the plane with turbulence to get the same end result: a shaky view.

It would be like forcing someone to drive across gravel to get a shaky camera effect, instead of simply buying a dynamic camera mount that has a little bit of play in it. Shake? Adds an interesting effect. Implementation? Awful.

Thx for the explanation. I was not aware.
Will report when I'm home in the afternoon.

That should do the trick, but definitely let us know!

Yep, you were right on the ball.
It was EZCA V2 giving me issues. Something went wrong as I reinstalled it and set it again as I had it for a while and everything is working just fine.

You live you learn.
Thx a ton.

Cheers
