Guys, anybody experiencing very slow SF3D's GUI? To some reason it's sickly slow here, something is not right, because it is a Win10 with ASPv4, Envtex, ASCA running just fine. I'm investigating this problem now, but I thought somebody could shed some light on it.

Thanks.

Hey Dirk, I am having this issue as well. Just installed it a few days ago and the slow UI essentially renders the program unusable for me. About to put in a support ticket, but was just curious if you've managed to resolve the issue on your end.

That option is already turned off and I still have an unresponsive UI. This is a mystery. I will take this over to the REX forums -- I don't want to hijack this topic. Thank you for your help, though.

No worries. A re install sometimes works. You could try that whilst waiting for your ticket. Good Luck.

P3dv4 flier here.

I currently use rex textures with hifi soft clouds and AS16.

Are there any advantages to moving to SF?

I think you meant you use HiFi ASP4 with Rex textures direct & Rex Soft clouds Chris.

I used that combo before going over to SF. Yes it has a huge advantage you get even more cloud textures in use within the sim but the huge advance is the cloud structures. It's a new level that i've not seen before with all the above plus ASCA , Envtex etc etc. You can get what looks like one cloud not a lot of small ones trying to make one but one cloud that can be 10,000ft tail, CB i've seen can be over 30,000ft tail. It's all about the new cloud structures. Don't use the weather engine.

Hi

so i the plunge and got sky force 3d

and wow looks amazing

thou my gpu is peaking at 100% in really dense clouds

I get slightly better performance with asca

i think it may be due to rain? As my envtex rain is being overwritten as I cannot switch of detailed precipitation in P3d as there is a bug with v4.2 atm

and settings recommendations I’m skyforce?

i am using 512 dxt

I am using 2 x titans 6gb in sli

Thanks

mike

I don't know what it is but the entire environment with SF and ASP4 is quite incredible. You do have to watch the density/cloud size etc. as it brings down FPS but it is "as real as it gets".

ASP4 + Cloud Art in P3Dv4 looks just as good.

Can anybody show us anything different/groundbreaking/revolutionary/totally transforming about skyforce....

Ditto, same situation for me, same question.

What benefits come for me with Skyforce?
