January 15, 20188 yr Are you using a mesh like Pilots ultimate or is that stock? I just installed p3d v4 today but have a ways to go on installing orbx stuff and waiting on new key from hifi for active sky p3d v4 upgrade. Pictures look great. I will be switching between p3d and XP11. Need lot of money for PMDG stuff. Have the majestic q400 purchased already and have added several carenado AC. Plan on getting PMDG 737 first. Timothy Murphy

It's default mesh, I believe, unless MSE updates the mesh as well as adds photoreal scenery. I know they update some buildings, for instance Reno Nevada which has a few stock buildings in P3D is updated with most casinos after the MSE install. I too switch between Xplane11 and P3DV4. At first I thought it was conspicuous consumption on my part, figuring one sim or the other would go on the back burner, but both get equal billing. I prefer Xplane11 for its default landclass, mesh and autogen, as well as its 172 which is great for sightseeing over the photoreal scenery I created with Ortho4XP. I like P3DV4 for the selection of Carenado aircraft I have for the sim, as well as the MSE V2 scenery which I like because it looks good at altitude, even though it is not as sharp as V3 at lower altitudes, the effect is real enough. I am a big fan of the Carenado C550 because I feel it has the best speed hold feature during climb, it uses pitch the way pilots are taught to control airspeed (pitch for airspeed, thrust for controlling altitude). I don't know how that mantra applies to heavy iron though, thrust may be used for airspeed over pitch, I believe I heard that said once by a pilot. John
