Hello,

If you are using the full mechanical range of the pot: turning full left thru turning full right. If so, you are good to go.

Yes, I shall be using so no problem.

Many thanks for your assistance.

I shall post the pics once they are ready .

Question : for the potentiometer for the ALT, SPEED ,VERTICAL SPEED ; how do I calibrate the axis if I use a continuous turn potentiometer. I think the range will be infinite, won't they? If you have any other way to do please suggest.

Hi,

Rotary encoders are better for these functions. Leo Bodnar sells good ones. The limits of the ALT etc should be defined within the LINDA airbus module so you should merely have to assign the encoder to the ALT function within LINDA. With an encoder, when you turn it,say to the right, it will show up in LINDA as a switch that operates each time you turn it one detent. It shows as a different switch if you turn to the left.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Greetings,

Regarding to rotary encoder , in leo bodnar circuit how many buttons will they occupy? Could you clarify me in detail about rotary encoders connected to leo bodnar circuit.

A single encoder occupies two switch positions in the bbi32, a double encoder ocupies 4 positions.

Some kind of logic or hardware will be needed because there are only 2 outputs of a SPDT and you need 3.

You can easily do this in LINDA (or just Lua), since the ON-OFF-ON positions are detectable as three separate states. You will need to track which state you're coming from to know how to interpret the OFF state, but that should be trivial.

Many thanks,
