"Flight Simulator X - Original Aircraft,"

Recommended Posts

I log into the File Library.  I want to see what is in the Library under "Flight Simulator X - Original Aircraft," so I go to the Category field in the middle of the library home page, hit the drop-down arrow, and select, "Flight Simulator X - Original Aircraft,"  i then hit Search, just to the right of my field and am quickly informed there are no more aircraft in this category.  Obviously, that's not right, so I go back to the library main page.  Noticing I had not put anything into the Quick Search field, just above the Category field, I put Boeing 737 in there.  Again I hit Search.  Now I am taken where I can view aircraft, but I am limited to Boeing 737's.  That's not what I wanted.  I wanted to see ALL Flight Simulator X - Original Aircraft.

I can't figure out how to do that.  Can it be done?  If so, how?

Did you try the search box underneath the big, bold, red letters that say "Use this box to view all files in a category"?

EDIT: what are you looking for, exactly? Do you want repaints of the planes that come with the sim? Because the 'Original Aircraft' category means completely new addon planes made from scratch by developers, not related to the planes that come with the sim at all.

Perhaps you should search using the keyword default

I did.  That doesn't work either.

What am I looking for?  I guess repaints of the planes that come with the sim.  Which of the many choices do I select to go there?  And, once I select that, what do I do then in order to get me there?

Not sure this is what you want, but:

I find the easiest way of finding all or most of the original (default) aircraft is to sort the Airplanes folder in  SimObjects by DATE - of course, the earliest planes installed are usual original...

Flightsim Original Aircraft is generally reserved for aircraft that were created and uploaded to the site. Repaints of default aircraft will be with the repaints and modifications.

So what should I select to get FSX planes that I can download and use?
