Recommended Posts

Hi,

the clouds shadows appearing disappearing issue when panning/turning is simply ridiculous. Any way to solve it ? or is it planned to be solved ?

Known issue. LM needs to fix on their end. Don't hold breath.

Higher shadow draw distance is known to alleviate the problem. High or ultra. I use high myself as ultra demands quite abit of additional performance.

Intentional to help with performance, I think.

It does not. It simply reduces it. With shadow draw distance on max, the sun has to be lower until you experience the effect, but it is still there. As others wrote, it was introduced on purpose to reduce load and increase performance. However, I doubt that it will be "solved" in the next release, as there are simply not enough people complaining about it in the Prepar3d forums...

The appearing and disappearing shadows (both cloud shadows on ground and cockpit shadows) are one of the most annoying and ever lasting "bugs" in the P3D platform. The problem already existed in the earlier versions and so far there has been no fix. I am just wondering how happy the people must be with XP11 which in this regard appears to be more matured.

Chris

Alleviate:

əˈliːvɪeɪt/

verb

make (suffering, deficiency, or a problem) less severe.

"he couldn't prevent her pain, only alleviate it"

Thanks for making me chuckle to myself in public .

Well, thanks for the clarification... And: I hope you are also that certain about the correct use of verbs and their meaning in a language that is not your mother tongue. Wanna discuss in German or French instead? Might be that I will then be able to chuckle in public as well...

Then maybe look up the dictionary before jumping to put down a post that was meant to help someone.

Also it’s not my fault your English is bad. I speak 3 languages as well (English isn’t my mother tongue either) but I’m not asking the world to switch to another common language to accommodate my needs.

You should chuckle at yourself.
