Mark Yes, thought it was time for a change. There is such a beauty of the stark desert especially between Gila Bend and El Centro, CA, which you can see in one of the screenshots. I've driven it many times and flew the route commercial (Phoenix to San Diego) as well, but I prefer the 172 since it is a great vantage point for sightseeing. John

I made the scenery using Ortho4XP, using USA_2 as the source because I feel it has more realistic colors than Bing, or even MSFS's/P3D's MSE. My scenery extends from New Mexico/Arizona/California, parts of Utah and Nevada, then up the coast thru parts of Oregon, Washington, and Southern British Columbia/Vancouver Island. Only disappointment is I could not get autogen overlays to work, that would have looked better, especially in the forested areas of the Pacific Northwest. But I am still happy with the end result, which takes up almost 100GB of hard drive space on my Xplane11 drive, which is a dedicated drive. John Edit: I should add it took approx 24 hours to generate all the scenery, I did it in shifts since Ortho4XP would occasionally time out.
