Installation Location of Chaseplane and Performance

Recommended Posts

Hi

Enjoying Chaseplane, but working on trying to improve some general performance concerns with P3Dv4 (reducing settings, scenery tweaks etc). I wanted to know if it would make a noticeable difference whether Chaseplane is installed on the same drive as P3Dv4 or not. I have my sim installed on a Hybrid 2TB drive and Chaseplane installed on the OS SSD drive. If I reinstalled Chaseplane to the same drive as P3dV4 would I expect to see any noticeable performance improvement (e.g. less stutter with panning?) or is it not worth it.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this before I try it.

Thanks

Tom

The choice of hard drive shouldn’t make a big difference. Are you using 0.3 or 0.4 of ChasePlane?

If you enable Experimental versions in the Preferences you’ll get a substantial performance gain
