If you could provide a bit more background information, I might be able to help you.

  • I'm assuming that your destination airport is Nantes/Atlantique (LFRS). Is that either a 3rd party add-on or a stock version of the airport?
  • Have you tried flying the same flightplan with the VOXATC First Officer mode enabled?
  • Which flightsim are you using and which version of VOXATC are you using?
  • Have you tried another flightplan with LFRS as the destination airport?
  • Do you have a Navigraph subscription? Which AIRAC is installed for both your aircraft and VOXATC?
  • Do you have an fsaerodata subscription?

In real life, Nantes approach has two comm frequencies 119.40 and 124.42. The stock FSX and P3d version of LFRS has 129.875 as the approach frequency.

Jean Marc,

I tried to duplicate your flight and unfortunately, because I have fsaerodata installed, I did not get the same result that you did. I never had the opportunity to contact Nantes approach, which of course isn't correct at all and I just flew direct from LFOU to LFRE. I had to remember to change the squawk code to 7000 for Europe. The weather was rainy and foggy today so I had to turn the real time weather off also. After I landed and cleared the runway at LFRE, I got a message to contact FSS to close my flight plan and that worked correctly.

I'll try another flight when I get a chance. I also want to look over the comm information for those two stock airports in P3d, since whatever is happening to VOXATC has something to do with the comm assignments.

Jay

EDIT: I tried another flight and this time I did get the option (2) to contact Nantes approach. They subsequently asked me to report overhead . I reported overhead  and got an acknowledgment from ATC. Then ATC instructed me to report clear of zone. Unfortunately. when I reported clear of zone, VOXATC just kept repeating for me to report clear of zone and then it finally said "Did you copy?" and that was the end of any ATC communication. There is something definitely wrong and VOXATC isn't working properly in that geographic area.

I suggest that you fly that flightplan IFR and see if that works correctly.
