joystick disconnect from usb issues

hi all: I continue to have issues with my microsoft force feedback joystick. USB version.

turning on an amp in the computer room, causes the joystick to disconnect, then it may reconnect on its own, a few seconds later.

sometimes I have to plug it back in myself. I have tried all ports on my computer. both 2.0 and 3.0

Also, many times when I plug another usb device in, the joystick also will disconnect.

I cannot figure out how to resolve this issue.

any advice would be appreciated.

You might want to try a powered USB hub. Based on your symptoms, your power supply may be a little weak for the total load on your system.
