May 18, 200620 yr I know that there has been past discussion about how to enter lat/long waypoints into previously saved flightplans. The default flightplan system will not allow you to enter lat/longs - only airports, and navaids, etc. Any help where to find the details please? Thanks Barry
May 18, 200620 yr Don't know, other than just to hand edit. It does seem like when FS9 reads a saved flight plan, all it seems to care about is the position of the fix/waypoint, not the name. It does not seem to look up the name at all. I'm not sure if ATC will call you off track if you add unknown fixes to the plan.scott s..
May 19, 200620 yr Barry:Saved flight plans are stored in C:/ Documents and Settings/ Your User Name/My Documents/Flight Simulator Files. Open any plan file (.pln) with NOTEPAD and you should see something like this:[flightplan]title=KABQ to KLASdescription=KABQ, KLAStype=IFRroutetype=3cruising_altitude=30000departure_id=KABQ, N35* 2.66', W106* 37.26', +005354.99departure_position=8destination_id=KLAS, N36* 4.53', W115* 10.22', +002181.00departure_name=Albuquerque Intl Sunportdestination_name=McCarran Intlwaypoint.0=KABQ, A, N35* 2.66', W106* 37.26', +005354.99,waypoint.1=K2ABQ, V+LOCWAY, N35* 2.63', W106* 48.98', +000000.00,waypoint.2=K2LORAT, I+LOCWAY, N35* 8.66', W107* 16.69', +000000.00, J72waypoint.3=K2GUP, V+LOCWAY, N35* 28.56', W108* 52.36', +000000.00, J72waypoint.4=K2DILCO, I+LOCWAY, N35* 31.87', W110* 3.92', +000000.00, J72waypoint.5=K2PGS, V+LOCWAY, N35* 37.48', W113* 32.67', +000000.00, J72waypoint.6=CROWE, I, N36* 4.44', W114* 19.93', +J33711.78,waypoint.7=TIFFY, I, N36* 4.40', W114* 45.78', + PowerSpec G426 PC running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit OS, Intel Core i7 11700K @ 3.60GHz 30 °C, 4089MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 , ASUS TUF Z590-Plus Gaming motherboard, Samsung 870 EVO 2TB SSD, Samsung 750 EVO 500GB SSD, Acer Predator X34 34" curved monitor (external view), RealSim Gear G-1000 avionics suite, RealSim Gear GNS 450, Slavix Stay Level Custom Metal Panel, Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Redbird Alloy THI, Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals.
May 19, 200620 yr also FS Navigator will allow user-defined waypoints (fixes) and can export the final plan to FS.
