Add-ons stop working in P3D v4.1

Recommended Posts

Hi! Can anyone help me? I have been bothered and struggling with this issue for a period of time.

All of a sudden, all add-ons of P3D v4.1 stopped working, including FSUIPC, GSX, Chaseplane, and all other add-ons, etc.

No matter which aircraft I load, default or Custom aircraft, after I start the flight, I would find that all the programs in the Add-ons tab. stopped working, including those not listed in the tab, like Chaseplane.

What can I do? Thanks!

I haven't installed any add-ons before this happened. It happened all of a sudden.

My system: Windows 10 pro. 64 bit, 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD

I had this issue a few days ago and after struggling hard to find a solution, the right clue came from K. Menard on the ChasePlane forum. Quoting from him:

"We have not found the root cause of this issue but with some add-on combinations, the wxstationlist.bin file causes SimConnect applications to stop working properly. Removing this file and letting it regenerate should fix the issue. This issue is not caused by ChasePlane as the file is not modified by ChasePlane.

Shutdown the simulator
Navigate to the following folder corresponding to your simulator version
%APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
%APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3
%APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX-SE
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX
Remove the wxstationlist.bin file
Launch the simulator"

It fixed the issue for me.....it might be worth trying

Good luck

Thank you so much! It solved my problem too!! I almost reinstall my P3D....

But, what combination of add-ons could it be? Weather-related add-ons??

Thank you again!!

Glad you sorted out your problem...!

It drove me crazy before I could solve it and I went very close to reinstall the whole Sim....so I know the feeling... :-)
