Just loaded up the PMDG 737 at EGCC at dusk. Dynamic lighting performance is no better than 4.1. Also unhappy that PTA, ActiveSky and SimpleCam aren't working with 4.2. Will revert to 4.1 until everyone catches up.

Delete p3d.cfg and your shader folder, it might help after updating with performance

4.2 released just over an hour ago. Are you seriously unhappy that people don't have updates out yet?

These are the ones I am most interested in. I have the same issue with VR on the cloud shadows both outside and inside the cockpit so it will be interesting to read what that is about. Also the time zone issue. The only issue I've really had with the time zone is that you could never set it to local time at a given place. Hopefully that has now been fixed. The water thing will be nice since I have a 10 card.

Well normally these developers have beta versions so they could of had v4.2 for weeks/months. That's why some can release within hours.
