Here a new thread with updates on my  "All months preset set"  for P3D4.1 and P3Dv4.2 .

Both including many custom tweaks and expressions , depending on time of day, month, weather and altitude including Clouds Directional Lighting .

                   The Clouds have been redone and it sets a slightly higher Bloom for even more improved Nightlighting.

                   Water has been improved so now saturation also changes depending on altitude.

Great preset Gerard!  If only I could figure out how to get the deepness of color inside of the cockpit and outside of the aircraft that the THOPAT 2_2 preset gives, this would make your preset absolutely perfect.  THOPAT 2_2 was also pretty good, but the bluish hues just didn't work for me, but somehow the colors were really vibrant without it feeling too fake.

You can try modifying Scene Tone Adjustment icw Contrast Tuning. Both at the bottom in the HDR & Postprocessing section.

Thanks again Gerard.  One last question.  Are the dark clouds due to cloud directional lighting?  I vaguely remember seeing a post on how to get rid of this, but can't find it.  See below example:

Your weather program is responsable for your clouds.

If all clouds were dark then it was due to the preset. Directional Clouds Lighting looks like this :

Thanks again, but I found the issue.  Alternative Lighting for cloud groups was checked instead of "No popcorn" modifier.  That got rid of the gray clouds for me.

Alternative Lighting is giving contrast to light/dark parts of the clouds.

The No-Popcorn tweak takes out contrast so repeating clouds will be noticed less.

 

If you are satisfied that is all that counts. Enjoy ....

Hi gerard

I just installed your March preset, after loving Feb

However, Now I get black ground textures. As in, it breathes black and normal.

How is that possible?

Just reinstall the default Shaders and then try Mrach again.
