P3D V4.2 Blurries

Recommended Posts

Hello All!

I wanted to see if someone could please help me with my P3D blurries. I have had them since 4.0 and can't seem to get rid of them. My spec are in my signature. I thank you so much for the kind help!

Cheers,

Clem

Can you post your in-sim settings, and any tweaks to the P3D cfg? HT on or off?

Hi,

Try TESSELLATION FACTOR to full right and put a check mark into the small box USE HIGH RESOLUTION TERRAIN TEXTURES to see how it goes.

Unlimited frame rate with a 4K monitor is not a good idea. Can you set the TV to 30Hz refresh rate and turn Vsync on in P3D. What frame rate are you getting with unlimited anyway? If you cannot maintain 30 you might have to aim for a lower value.

Turn the Level of Detail Radius to max setting and turn off Vegetation, Terrain and Particles casting shadows to see if this improves things. Also might try Cloud Reflections and HDR off. Really here you would hopefully be just be diverting resources from the eye candy to the terrain.

Great suggestions above. Also try dropping cloud coverage density and see if lowering texture resolution has any effect (not sure how much VRAM you have on your 780).

Edit: you can also try running fast vsync in NVCP.

Thanks everyone. I tried all the above and nothing. With default aircraft in 4k I get a steady 60fps. The GTX780 has 3GB.

Thanks!

Can you post a picture of the blurry textures looking down from about 10,000 feet?

Try Tessellation at the full left position, at the same time as some of the other suggestions above but not using the high resolution terrain textures.

Lock your fps at 60 and turn on vsync. You can also try locking fps at 30 for even better results.

Ohh ! You are using a 4K monitor ?  Your GPU card only has 3 GB of video ram ? so, I think you are running out of video memory...  Monitors your video ram with monitoring software and adjust your P3D video settings to stay below 3GB...
