PMDG 777 ground friction model update?

Hello,

With the introduction of the new 747-400 and (hopefully) soon the 747-8 there has been an introduction to a new and, if you ask me, improved friction model. I remember reading somewhere that PMDG might roll this update back to the 777. Does anyone know whether this will still be done? And when might that be? 

Hoping for some more realistic landings in the future! Thank you!

Nope. I don't expect major updates (which this would be, as would be anything related to flight dynamics migrating to outside the box) to the 777 product until after the 748 and probably after the NGv3.  I agree, it would be nice but there's not been a forecast time by PMDG for this to occur.

I think you might have misunderstood his response. You asked if anyone knew whether it was still being done. The only ones who would know this is PMDG. This would be a major update if it's done, and it's not likely for any major updates to take place until after the 747-8 is released, at least that's what I'm getting out of Dan's post.
