A2A 182 + RXP... Yes or no?

I don't see the 182 in the config thread or other searches, and haven't been able to find anything definitive otherwise. I have found some threads that seem to say it'll work, but I'm not sure how, as the RXP choice remains grayed out. Editing the panel.cfg thread doesn't seem to allow the screens to show up in the panel, only in pop-up.

Can this combo be made to work?

Yes, it will work. And you can also use the C182 Aircraft Configurator to change from the default A2A GPS400 to the RXP GNS530.
First backup the panel_MINDSTAR_530.cfg.

Open file panel_MINDSTAR_530.cfg and copy & paste the following contents. When using the C182 Aircraft Configurator select Mindstar 530 to install the RXP 530.

If you decide to get the GNS 430 which also includes the GPS 400 let me know. I also have the cfg's for those too. Again using the A2A configurator. I also have the cfg's for the GTN. All for the A2A 172, 182, & the 250 Comanche. When I have more time and my back gets better I will post those in the panel thread.

I found one in Documents > Reality XP > GNS Simulation, but the contents look nothing like this.

That file goes in the A2A 182 aircraft folder.

Here are the panel files for setting up the GNS 430, 530, Dual, GPS 400 in the A2A C182 panel using the C182 Aircraft Configurator_P3D app.

A2A182_RXPGNS_panel.zip

First things first. Backup original panel config files:
panel_default.cfg
panel_MINDSTAR_430.cfg
panel_MINDSTAR_530.cfg
panel_MINDSTAR_dual.cfg.

4 panel_MINDSTAR_***.cfg and panel_default.cfg files go in the A2A182 panel folder.

RealityXP.GNS.ini goes in the main aircraft folder; SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_C182

Use C182 Aircraft Configurator_P3D app to install gauges. Choose the Mindstar selection 430, 530, both etc. Select default to install the RXP GPS400.

Incidentally you can use the C182 Aircraft Configurator_P3D app while the aircraft is loaded. Aircraft will reload after making your choice of Garmin unit.
