The patch turned off my Clear Type and reset (in power config) my CPU

minimum to 5 %.

So. . .  If you're having issues with the 4.2 update,

you might want to check those settings.

I set my minimum CPU to 80%.

I never touched this setting and my CPU always provides me constant 4.5GHz while running P3D and throttling down to 1.6GHz in the desktop mode. Might be easier to simply adjust your power management mode and your nVidia/AMD driver settings that they always use "maximum performance". Should not be an issue as long as you do not run your sim on a laptop that might actually profit from power saving modes...
