Input Lag PMDG

Recommended Posts

To start, running P3Dv4.2, latest 64bit version of LINDA and latest PMDG modules for LINDA. Running the MCP2 from  VRi Insight. Everything save for one thing works great. The speed dial for the MCP. I turned. The speed down or up and the speed readout on the MCP and in the PFD cannot keep up. The speed value goes up as I am selecting lower and vice versa. The only way to make it work is to go very very slow. With heading and altitude, no issues. Very annoying. Anyone seen this?

Which PMDG aircraft and module versions are you using? What functions do you have assigned to the SPD knob?

The latest modules in the download section here. The only assigned is the default assignment that comes with the module, speed change.

Hi Eric

You still don’t say what aircraft. If the SPD function is operating in the opposite sense then I suspect that the wrong assignments appear in the your set up. I checked my PMDG737 today and it is working correctly. Please list the MCP SPD functions against the entries.

Those functions are correct. Please try a self-test of your MCP.

  • Operate the AP Disengage switch (down).
  • Turn on power to the MCP.
  • Operate the SPD knob and ensure that the Test Mode display SPD + for clockwise and SPD - for anti-clockwise.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. When running the test as you detailed I am seeing the + when decreasing and the - when increasing on every 3 or 4th click of the dial when going slowly. So somehing is amiss.

Hi Eric

This sounds like you are experiencing a problem with the MCP hardware/firmware. There is not much LINDA can do to compensate.

I'll just have to live with it then. Everything else works perfectly.
