Hi-

I got the app installed last night and have live traffic.

A few notables right off the bat. There is pretty violent stuttering of ac taking off and landing. I had several ac parked at odd angles on taxiways. When taxiing to take off, ac would speed up, slow down and stop. One ac was sunk half way into the tarmac (KSFO). One ac took off on 28L into houses at the end of the runway. On takeoff, some ac take off like a slingshot; instant full power.

So, did I do something wrong here?

Hi,

Please post your PSXseeconTraffic.log file here (you can find it in the PSXeeconTraffic folder), so I can check if something is wrong.

and what Airport.txt file (KSFO.txt in folder parked) are you using for KSFO? If you have a KSFO airport addon installed, you need to run the ParkPosGenerator to get a file with the lat/lon coördinates of your gates.

and read the disclaimer section of the Manual. Although most of the times you should see traffic behave normally.

I see the stuttering problem on my system in P3Dv4.1. Have tried several fixes and nothing seems to solve it. It seems about every 7 - 9 seconds aircraft start to stutter, and then after 4 - 5 seconds the stutters smooth out, then 7 - 9 seconds and stutters...just keeps repeating. Ground, air, doesn't matter. I am running PSXseeconTraffic, and RealTraffic on a networked laptop, along with ActiveSky 4, and LittleNavMap.

Interesting problem in my log, as it seems virtually every airport is listed with parking position has not enough semicolons. I only included a few below, as the list was quite long.

BTW this morning I tried this again at KSFO (flightbeam) and numerous ac smashed together at the gate along with numerous others with the nose of the ac stuck into the terminal building. Not sure what all that means.

Do you see all these lines about 3rd party aircraft...? Are you using other AI traffic programs at the same time? If so, please switch that off and try again.

Also check Manual section 4.1:

"Make sure the Airline Traffic density and General aviation traffic density is set at 0%."

That's not normal. Could it be that at your laptop you have programs blocking/interupting PSXseeconTraffic?

Are you sure that aircraft start to stutter and that these stutters are not related to your weather program or scenery?

That will be fixed if you download the latest parked.zip from my web site, or run ParkPosGenerator version 4.1.

Is not a big problem, those positions are fuel stations, so not real parking positions, they miss aircraft types, but again fixed in version 4.1

I'll test by running ONLY PSXseeconTraffic and RealTraffic, and nothing else on laptop and see if it eliminates stuttering. At one time, I thought maybe it was Windows 10 Virus and Threat Protection, but I've turned it off and still stuttering.

I figured running the latest ParkPosGenerator might solve the parking issues.

Hi Nico-

We'll aren't I the word not allowed. I swear I checked this (now I sound like a middle schooler) prior to launch but apparently not.

Things are much better at KSFO. I'm going to do some additional testing tomorrow under varying conditions to find the sweet spot.
