I was in Salzburg in June of last year, on my way to Munich on a European tour.  It is a lovely city situated in the Alps, and you can just imagine Julie Andrews and the Von Trapp children singing in the streets, and along the river, underneath the alps.  I took an optional excursion up to Eagle's Nest, which had amazing views of Austria and Germany, and I learned of word not allowed's phobias when he went there, he did not like it there that much, since you have to go underground then up an elevator to get to the top.  Salzburg is a warm, romantic town which reminds one of Mozart and drinking a stein of beer in a bar with live music playing.  People there were all smiles welcoming us yankee, aussie and british tourists as visitors.
