FSCommander 10

Recommended Posts

I am a new member as of 3/18/2018. I haven't used MS Flight Sim since 2000 when I had started off with FS98 and thereafter started to use FS2000 for a very short time. I had used FSNavigator which to me was awesome Add-on and was easily accessible while in flight by pressing if not mistaken my F9 key

It's been 16 years since I've used Flight Sim and just started getting myself involved again. I currently have FSX for PC. I was trying to find the FSNavigator again and found FSCommander 10 which comes with FSUIPC4

I went to try and use it however it doesn't appear that FSCommander 10 is integrating like FSNavigator used to. F( doesn't pull it up. I clicked on the tool bar and saw Add-Ons with FSUIPC as a choice and when clicking on it, it said it wasn't registered.

I found out how to obtain registration and purchased both Single and Wide versions. However now when I try to use it, it brings up a dialogue to setup a bunch of preferences but nothing that easily allows you to access FSCommander 10

When launching FSCommander 10 first and than choosing to connect to FSX it launches FSX but I still can't switch between the 2. And when both are running the screens want to flash on me as if it wants to switch back and forth.

Looking for some help if anyone can advise

Much Appreciated

Riz

Fscommander does not really work well like this, I find it is best run on a networked PC via WideFS.

Seeing as you have bought WideFS you must also have a networked machine available, yes ?, any old laptop will do the job just fine.

Is FSC still a useful app?  I stopped using it after version 8.

I use to swear by FSCommander but after they stopped supporting P3Dv4 and the problems it had reading AFCADS and showing missing runways and taxiways I finally moved over to Aivlasoft EFB. This program rocks and runs great on my client. It doesn't take control of my windows programs like FSC does and it reads all my scenery files in just a few seconds and gets them correct. I wonder why I waited so long to use this program.
