FSX profile to P3Dv4

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I was wondering if it's possible to export my existing PMDG profiles from FSX to P3Dv4.

i have the latest LINDA version 3.0.5 64bit and the latest FSUIPC v.5.

the MCP Combo II is working with P3Dv4,

regards

Alex

Yes it is possible. You need to locate the following folders in your FSX directory:

/FSX/modules/linda/aircrafts/pmdgxxxx

/FSX/modules/linda-cfg/aircrafts/pdmgxxx

Copy these folders and contents to the same named locations in your P3Dv4 directory. Make sure you make a backup before you do this.

Hi Alex

The errors in the log show that there is a mismatch between the PMDG 737NGX shown in the Sync to Sim box and your config files. The correct folder name should be: linda-cfg/aircrafts/PMDG 737NGX (leave out the 800 or 900). The same PMDG 737NGX folder should appear in linda/aircrafts/.

You should also select Developer Mode and turn on Verbose logging next time to give me more information.

it seems that the PMDG folder that LINDA pointed at was empty, so i copied the content from another PMDG 737-800 folder to the empty folder, and it worked. only when i loaded PMDG 737-700 instead of 800, i get the error attempt to compare nil with number.

p.s. where is LINDA console the text file located

Regards

Alex

I would need to see the full Verbose log to see what is causing the problem? It may seem like a load of nonsense but tells me a load. Please read the Fault Diagnosis thread to set this up correctly.

The Console opens when you click the Console link a with Developer Mode set to On.

After closing down the sim, email me the fsuipc5.log in /modules directory. Send to linda at awginfosys.net. Change at to @

Thank you for the fsuipc5.log log file. There is something wrong with LINDA identifying multiple module matches. I need to fire up my system to investigate further. Please paste the contents of the reader.txt file in /modules/linda/pmdg 737NGX folder for me to see.

I think I have spotted the problem. When you use the default PMDG 737NGX (PMDG 737-600NGX PMDG House) your system is finding the correct module. However, you are using a KLM livery (Boeing 737-9K2NGX KLM Royal Dutch) which does not match the expected naming convention.

All variants of the same aircraft are matched using the matching prefix. In this case PMDG 737NGX. Your KLM does not follow this convention.

Can you try a different livery to see it it works correctly?

Hello,

Sorry for the late response.

i tried a different livery, and that worked. i don't know why i worked in FSX, and not in P3D, but maybe i made some unwanted changes in the LINDA aircraft folders by mistake.

what i did now is delete all aircrafts in LINDA, and add them again. now everything worked perfect.

Thanks for the help.

Kind regards

Alex
