Nico,

I'm stumped. I'm getting an invalid aircraft.cfg on 4 aircraft, and can't figure it out.

Kind Regards,

Here's the log:

Invalid aircraft.cfg: 4
   Invalid aircraft.cfg files:
   C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\vPilotAI\VPA_AIM_ERJ145XR\Aircraft.cfg contains non-consecutive [fltsim.x] numbers at .x= 0
   C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\vPilotAI\VPA_TFS_B777-200ER\aircraft.cfg contains non-consecutive [fltsim.x] numbers at .x= 0
   C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\vPilotAI\VPA_TFS_Dash8-400\Aircraft.cfg contains non-consecutive [fltsim.x] numbers at .x= 0
   C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\vPilotAI\VPA_TFS_S340\Aircraft.cfg contains non-consecutive [fltsim.x] numbers at .x= 0

And here are the aircraft.cfg's:

Hi,

It cannot detect [fltsim.0], which is strange ...

Maybe there are non printable characters in that line or the line before that?

Here is a small tool FSRenum. Unzip en place FSRenum.exe in the folder with the invalid aircrfat.cfg. Then just double click on FSRenum.exe and try again.

Nico,

Great little tool ya got there (FSRenum). I ran it on the invalid aircraft.cfg's and then re-ran VMRGenerator, and then, instead of finding invalid aircraft.cfg's, it found a bunch of missing liveries. So for some reason it originally reported invalid .cfg's, even though it was a missing livery issue.

I cleaned up all the livery problems...some of them were livery names that were wrong, so I corrected those, and some were duplicates of the same livery, so I deleted the duplicates (the duplicates generated no error). It would be nice if there were a way for VMRGenerator to report duplicates. I identified them by comparing the livery entries in the .cfg to the livery directories and noticed the count didn't match, so I had to do a search in the .cfg for each livery and determine which ones were duplicated.

It already does, you should find them reported as invalid [fltsim.x] section with remark: " title already exists: "s + title

And please update to 10.9

Nico,

Thank you. I had seen the notice for 10.9, and while I typically keep everything up to date, I preferred to wait until I was finished troubleshooting, before I introduced another variable.

Thanks for your great work...my sim without live traffic wouldn't be nearly as interesting!

Kind Regards,
