ATC option window choices grayed out

Not that there is a great chance the plane will blow up or I can not just reinstall again...

I had the same problem. I deleted my default flight, which I had set up prior to installing v4.2, and then created a new default flight. I haven't had any issues since then.

Oddly enough, without doing anything (that I’m aware of), on my flight today I had full functionality of the ATC menu...go figure!

Don't understand why users use a default flight. Seems to cause nothing but troubles. When I start P3D, I have it set so I am looking at the Scenario Startup screen, by checking the box that says show at startup. You can select starting place, aircraft, weather, etc. with zero problems. Works every time. Start P3D, go to Scenario/New  and check the box that says "show at startup".

Apparently you don't get it.

Read why that was used as a procedural solution to a problem.

This kind of post which deems others to be inexperienced newbies is a bit hard to answer diplomatically.

But it is Easter, so

Kind regards,

Stephen

I experienced this problem as well. I'm currently using FSGlobal weather.

If I initialize and load the flight, then start FSGlobal and load the weather file, ATC window works.

Go figure.
