3D knobs on bezel are not working

Recommended Posts

Hi,

There seems to be an issue with newer birds which are using the new manipulators in X-Plane and RXP. The knobs of the GNS530 3D bezel don't work, when the RXP plugin is used. I see this issue with

  • Carenado DO228 (new manipulators)
  • Alabeo Mooney M20R (new manipulators)
  • Justflight Turbo Arrow III (new manipulators)
  • Default Baron58 (new manipulators)

The knobs are working with

  • Carenado Aero Commander 500S (old manipulators)
  • Carenado Cessna208 (old manipulators)
  • Carenado King Air B200 (old manipulators)

I use the newest version of the RXP GNS on XP11.11r2 and I think my RXP.ini files are ok, since there are some models working well. I first adressed this issue at Thranda, but they pointed out that there might be a conflict with the new manipulators. Logfile seems to be ok and can be found here. Assuming this is a bug a quick fix would be highly appreciated, thanks.

Hi, we've not been able to repro this, but you might want to try the latest v2.4 released yesterday which builds up the changes introduced in v2.3.12 especially about the VR windows in particular, and the popup windows in general.

I tried but no luck. Is there anything I can help with troubleshooting? Very weird, that it works for some planes, for some not and you can't reproduce. I thought this is an easy to reproduce issue. But it seems that I am the only one :-(

Just to be sure, what do you mean exactly?

You do turn the 3D knobs over the 3D bezel GNS 530 included in these aircraft, however 'not working' means what? Are the rotation animation not working? Are the frequencies not changing (left knob) in the default GPS? Are the frequencies not changing in the RXP GNS V2? Are you using "Use Simulator GPS Commands" option or not?

Same problem. Nothing works. Just the pop.

There's any way to use the RXP bezel over the default GNS?

Enabling "Use Simulator GPS Commands" fixed it, thank you.
