FSX-SE Aircraft Scenery Objects

Is there a way to use flyable aircraft from the SIMOBJECTS\AIRCRAFT folder as scenery objects to place on airport tarmacs to make them look more populated?  I'm thinking in terms of older aircraft like Mustangs and B-17s and the like to make sort of an aircraft museum.  I can find lots of older Canadian aircraft in the EZ scenery libraries but none of the type I am looking for.  I can download the flyable warbirds but how can I display them  as static aircraft in FSX_SE?
