Headline: "What's silent but violent and costs $250m? Yes, it's Lockheed Martin's super-quiet, supersonic X-plane for NASA"

So that people dont get panicked or exicited..

So that's the hidden secret Easter egg aircraft in P3D V4.x ... was wondering what it was.  X-plane was around long before LR ... X-1 was 1946 ... oh no, not another lawsuit!

Cheers, Rob.

It's now they'll try to buy LR....

The question is whether they can achieve fuel efficiency with such a design. It won't be economically viable if it is only transportation for the super wealthy.

First FSX now Xplane, next thing you know they will buy Flight Sim World

(Joking of course I read the article, title is misleading)

Amazing we are in 2018 and Supersonic Travel is a concept, goes to show how successful the Concord really was. Reality is cost is too inhibit and many forms of future travel will likely be slower and not faster including the car of the future, likely autonomous with an average speed slightly slower then we drive today. Future travel will be slower and autonomous for many things and people will bury their heads in their multitasking apps and not really give it much thought, because the machines will drive/fly us anyways by following regulated systems and procedures put in place by government departments and insurance regulators, which will slow things down and not speed things up. Also slower speeds eliminates things like grid lock or planes in a holding pattern as the system spreads traffic out at slower speeds but consistent speeds to get you from A to B without gridlock. That's my prediction of the future, supersonic is a novelty

LOL... great title!! My first thought? "Man the people at Carenado are going to be jumping off the tops of tall buildings. LM would put a stop to their latest easy money gravy train they have over at X-Plain."
