Hi Robin,

Its a little tricky to stop the taxi speed building up to excessive levels but I think the key is to retard the power lever to just a little forward of flight idle almost as soon as you get moving. You must remember that the response of a turboprop engine, unlike that of a piston engine, to a change in power setting (increasing or decreasing power) tends to have a lag phase of a couple of seconds so it is easy to find yourself starting to go too fast if you keep the power lever at the setting needed to get you moving for just a few seconds too long.

In some aircraft the condition (fuel) levers can help in reducing the tendency to excessive taxiing speed by leaving them at a low idle setting during taxiing and controlling taxiing speed with the power levers. This practice however doesn't seem to work particularly well in the Carenado Fokker.
