Aerosoft CRJ 700/900 FSX P3D 20% off at Simmarket

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Just thought I'd drop a line that Aerosoft's CRJ700/900 for FSX and P3D is 20% off at Simmarket:

https://secure.simmarket.com/aerosoft-crj-700900-x-fsx-p3d.phtml

...making it about 43$. Expires 4/17/2018 I didn't see this sale on Aerosoft's website, and I didn't check any other online retailers. I'm kind of on the fence on this one, as I heard so many bad things about it, but I'm guessing that it's gotten better in the meantime. Obvious pro seems to be that it's being flown literally everywhere by everybody, but then I'm not a huge fan of this plane. Anybody care to offer an opinion on whether to get this or not?

Hell yeah! It's a steal at that price.

My only issue is that dynamic lighting needs to be enabled if you want to see the landing lights. DL is buggy & causes fps loss. If you have a good video card, then you'll be a very happy simmer.

I also have been on the fence about this one for a long time. I'd prefer to buy it from Aerosoft (updates will be there first), but 20% off is very tempting.....

Edit: Just did a comparison between the price at Aerosoft, $44.99 USD and at Simmarket, $43.04 USD. For only a difference of $6.95 USD I will probably buy directly from Aerosoft.

DJJose: Thanks for the enthusiastic response! That does make me feel better :)

Scott, I'm the same. I'd rather get it from Aerosoft directly because of the updates. That said, Simmarket has always been pretty speedy in my experience, and from the comparison I did, it's more like 8-9$ difference (41$ vs 50$).

Bottom line, I did some research on FlightRadar to confirm what routes I can put this plane on. I plan my simming world by way of hubs (airports I really like) and tie them to planes I can fly at that hub (e.g., KATL, KDFW, and whenever it come sout, KDTW, are my MD80 hubs). Truthfully I'd been needing a plane that I can fly in and out of KLGA for short hops, and it appears that the CRJ fits the bill perfectly! Also great for SAS flights around Scandinavia.

So, I bought it just now. Thanks for your opinions!
