ToD descent+Voices problem V2.5.0.1+P3Dv4.2

Recommended Posts

1-Made  two flights, center repeats ad nauseum the descent instruction, program caught in a loop !

2-P2Atc doesn't use the specific voices I assigned to the different centers ! Especially the ATC Center 1, 2, 3, Approach, Destination Tower...Atis, CoPilot and Ground are ok.

Thanks and Regards,

Richard,

If you could email me the log file I can see what might be causing the repeated descent instructions.

On the voices, it's possible the program is not able to load the voices you assigned and is having to go to default voices.  The log file will show this as well.

Log files are located in:

C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Logs

where <UserName> is your PC user name. Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show Hidden Items checked in the View tab.

Thanks,

Dave

Richard,

Thanks for the log file.  It does confirm the issue with the voices.  The CereProc voices are not loading...I believe there were 4 different ones.  You might check to be sure the installed voices are 64bit compatible voices.

I also believe I found the bug that was causing the repeated descent instructions from Center.  I will fly the route you were flying to see if I get the problem.

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

The voices (I have twelve of them) problem is fixed (some dirty gremlins somewhere). Don't ask me the reason

However the descent instruction loop is not...

If this help, please find below the complete FP (copy of the KPSP-KSAN.vbf content) with Sid and Approach.

Richard,

I believe I found the problem with the repeating descent instructions and fixed it for the next update.  It did not occur in my test flight to KPSP after the fix.

Also, the nature of the bug should allow you to fly to other airports on flatter terrain without experiencing the problem.

Thanks,

Dave

Richard,

Hoping to get the update out this week.

Dave

Thank you Dave, the issue seems solved...

I found just a little glitch in the Export Paths and Selection window the options "ok or cancel" are blacked, unreadable...

Question : in this window how I delete a path (blanked) ?

Regards,

Richard Portier

Richard,

I'm not sure which window you're talking about with OK or Cancel blacked, unreadable.  If it's the window that comes up when selecting the Export Paths in Config, then this window is a Microsoft Windows dialog and it should just work.

On deleting the path, there is no mechanism for that.  If the path is not valid, it will behave the same as if it's blank.

No it's the window that comes up when selecting the "Exprt" button on right down of P2Atc screen...

Ahh, OK.

Actually, it's almost the same answer for those as well.  If you don't check the box to the left, then the path is not used and is ignored.  If you check the path, then it will try to find the folder specified.  Just uncheck the checkbox and it will be ignored.

Dave,

I understood the process, my remark concerned the fact that these two options left (ok) and right (Cancel) were blackened and unreadable... Is it fixable or not ?

Concerning "Question : in this window how I delete a path (blanked) ?", when I enter a path I guess it's stored somewhere, can be in an ini or dat file ? However I cannot find any files containing this type of information.

Thank you and Regards,

Richard Portier

Unfortunately  there's nothing I can do to fix a problem with the Microsoft Folder dialog.   Might be something in your Windows settings as I haven't heard of this problem from any other users and it doesn't happen on my system either.

The paths are stored in the AppConfig.xml file that is in the ....AppData/Roaming/P2A_200/Settings folder.
