Speed Bugs

Recommended Posts

My 737 NGX is working good. .  When I use the cold and dark tutorial for start up it works perfect.  As long as I am using ground power.  However when I try a start up using the APU I cannot get the speed bugs to transfer to the speed tape and the warning No VREPs does not disappear.   Now I know it has something to do with the packs. And they can also be deleted by using a fsx key to release the handbrake.  But this  happens and the aircraft has not moved.  . I have also tried with the packs on auto and off . .  But the bugs will not transfer. Being well on the wrong side of 70.  I know it is me.  But I am dammed if I can see what I am doing wrong.  Help..

Packs has nothing to do with what you describe. Are you sure you LSK the V speeds on the FMC page?

Also pleaee notice that there might be some currupted panel states. Until they have been updated you shouldn‘t use the presaved panel states but load up the default state (it is called so) and then shut down the aircraft and set what you need and then eventually save a new panel state.

Thank you.  Yes I am pressing the LSK.  The LSK records the V speeds on the FMC.  But they fail to transfer to the Speed tape. This only happens when I am using the AP on its own.  It works perfect if I use the Ground power then switch to APU

I cannot tell what you are doing wrong from the minimum of information you provided.  I routinely preflight my B736 BBJ on APU without ground power and have never had a problem.
