How does Boeing or other manufacturers use Python?

I noticed when hunting for a Python job that Boeing uses it. Sadly I do not have enough years experience for the job and I am also not a senior programmer, otherwise I would have jumped at it. I know that Python is used a lot in web work, and in higher mathematics.  So I assume it's calculating really complex equations? Or is it something else entirely?

Python is used by FSDT in their FSX and P3D  addons. Couatl is a python interpreter. See link below. Not sure how Boeing uses it but thought you’d be interested to see an addon developer use it. Maybe you could work for FSDT, lol.

As far as programming languages go it is one of the easiest to pick up, and a great one if you're learning to program.  It's also got a couple of really nice frameworks for web development which is what I want to work in.

CAD and FEA packages like CATIA (a common aircraft design package from Dassault) use scripting languages like Python. Here's one example:

I was thinking the same, they likely use it in Manufacturing Engineering operations and other production/logistics related operations.
