Last week Win10 update and Saitek/SPAD

Recommended Posts

Hello

Last week after the windows update, one of my Saitek radio stacks does not power up; and the AP on my multipanel lights the switches but not the panel above where you set ALT. I sent a ticket to Ulrich at SPAD and he thought maybe a power source problem, and to switch USB ports. But that did not help.

If anyone has the same problem, or a suggestion on what to do, i greatly appreciate it! Does windows have a way to check power to usbs?

Pardon if I have posted to the wrong forum.

Saitek products have long been known to have issues with Windows Advanced Power Management.  There are small program apps to disable APM for Saitek products and you should also go into Control Panel, Device Manager, Human Interface Devices, locate your Saitek connections there, and dig into properties to make sure that Windows control of power management is unchecked for all.  You may have to unplug and and plug back in some devices to identify them there.

This is not a Windows 10 issue.  For me it started with Windows 7.

There are a number of discussions here in Hardware Controllers on Avsim.  Sift back through them to find them.  Also do a web search for fppilot saitek windows advanced power management
